1. Touchscreens and people in need

    05 July

    The cliché

The future is now, or at least that’s what most people would tell you. What just 10 years ago sounded like sci-fi, is now part of our everyday lives. The world is at our fingertips almost everywhere we go. But enough clichés. Let’s talk real.

Two months ago, me and my husband bought our first touchscreen handsets. We replaced the “outdated” keypad phones with smooth and sleek ones. The first week we would stay late in the night, exploring “just one more feature”, “just this cool app”, each of us in their corner, staring in the small screens for hours.

When all the fuzz was gone and these became just phones with more games and occasional use of wi-fi, I gave it a true thought. And it started to hit me.

Now that’s an interesting point of view :)

  3. Keep the Streets Empty for Me (music)

    31 January

The track is very moving, with its unique athmosphere and vibes… so Scandinavian, so Swedish… You can feel the loneliness and beauty of every tone. Hope you like it too :)

  4. In the fog

    In the fog

This is one of my favorite photos. It was made in Bulgaria, in the Rhodope Mountains. It was a lovely foggy day and the two cars and house matched perfect together.

  5. Batak, Bulgaria

    14 January
    The Dam Batak, Bulgaria

This is one of my first photos. It was made in Bulgaria, in the Rhodope Mountains. The dam is called Batak and it is one of the most beautiful places around. Some people say that the clouds in the photo resemble a flying turtle.

  6. Consumerism isn’t all about owning stuff — it’s about consuming.

    06 January

This month one of my favorite bands is releasing a cool anthology of all their singles and a short documentary film. I want to watch it, and I want it to be legal. But they’re releasing it only on DVD. And I am trying to minimize the stuff I own, so I don’t want to buy any DVDs.

I simply don’t want to own too many things. (continue reading…)

  7. My name is Content.

    06 December

My name is Content. I’m the book you read, the music you love, the photo of your friend or just a tiny sketch. I document thoughts and emotions, events and dreams. I document life.

You saw the news today? It was me. You read a tiny ad? Me again. I communicate with you. I inform you. I entertain you. I even fool you. I’m everywhere you go, I’m everything you see and hear. And my home is media.

Media is not just your TV screen. It’s not the camera or mic, it’s not the cable or satellite. Media is where I am king. I tell you something and you listen. I show you something and you look.

I depend on context. I depend on inspiration. I depend on you.

But you need me too. If something happens, I’m the one to tell you. If you need information, I’m the one to guide you. I’m the rhythm of you life.

  8. Social media is like TV

    06 May

You think you had problems with your productivity when you were watching too much TV? Here’s a bigger problem – today we’re spending too much time at social media sites.

So here’s me, a modern girl, somewhat “geeky” and creative. I have been a technology enthusiast since I was 5, I’m using all sorts of web apps, and along with that have a creative job, combining languages and the web technology. I try to have my creative hobbies too. Like photography, mostly digital.

It all sounds pretty and nice, huh? But guess what: it’s not. I found myself spending loads of time at social media websites browsing through information streams. In the last few weeks, my personal favorite has been Twitter. That’s where I found interesting links and stories. (continue reading…)

  9. Purpose of creating

    04 January

    What have you created today?

No, I don’t mean just artpieces. I mean normal stuff – decoration for a cake, a flower from an old piece of paper, some cables in a funny knot or just a colorful pile of paperclips. Oh, yes, that too! So I bet you created something after all, right? Well, how did it make you feel? (continue reading…)

  10. Exercising my freedom of speech.

    01 January

Another blog, another one trying to say something to the world… Who cares? Does the voice of one matter? And will it be heard? In this “information era” we’re living in, everyone can have their opinion and share it with everyone. I can think, write, say whatever I want, and some will listen. So what? Will it make any difference?

There’s this interesting phenomenon going on: the more people talk, write and show, the more difficult it is to know if they are telling the truth. They have the freedom of speech, but no obligation to tell the truth. (continue reading…)
